Work is underway at one of the most strategically significant drill locations on the EGL2 project, situated in a highly environmentally sensitive area.
The HDD consists of three separate drill shots โ€“ A, B and C โ€“ each approximately 100 metres in length, with two 315 mm ducts to be installed within each drill shot.

The works involve crossing a major canal in an area of significant environmental importance, requiring careful planning, specialist HDD expertise, and strict environmental controls throughout delivery.

Night works are progressing near Rayleigh, Essex, where we are installing a 465-metre, four-way electrical cable duct route beneath a busy dual carriageway.

The bore comprises three 180 mm ducts and one 125 mm duct.
Due to the reinforced concrete road construction, an INROCK guidance system is being used to maintain accuracy while ensuring safe working practices throughout.

Working at night allows the installation to progress while minimising disruption along this heavily trafficked route.
