Now a Visit England accredited attraction, it has survived since the 1750s when its then owner, John Burdon, created a sprawling ornamental park. Today, the remains of some of the original buildings he created can be seen throughout the park, which suggest the area has a richer story to tell.

Dare we say it out loud, its less than 10 weeks until Christmas!

Father Christmas returns to Hardwick Park over 2 weekends in December and tickets are selling fast, with limited space remaining on some dates.

Tickets cost £20 per child.

What is included with the Father Christmas ticket?
- Children with a ticket will receive a hot chocolate or a warm blackcurrant drink on arrival at the education room where families will wait in the warmth until called to the grotto.
- Children will have an opportunity to complete a small festive craft and make their own environmentally friendly reindeer food to take home.
- Families will enjoy a personal Father Christmas Visit in his grotto
- Each child with a ticket will receive a gift from Father Christmas
- Children will receive the Festive park trial to complete on the day of the visit or an alternative date whilst the trail is running throughout December

As autumn fades and winter takes hold, there's no better time to discover the fascinating world of wildfowl at Hardwick Park. Join the education team and explore the park's tranquil waters and wetlands, identifying a variety of wildfowl as they return to their seasonal home. From the vibrant colours of migrating ducks to the graceful flight patterns of newly arrived geese, this is a unique opportunity to witness the beauty of these magnificent birds in their natural habitat.

Price: £8.50 per person or Family ticket price £18 (4 people with at least one adult and a child under 16) All under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Minimum age of participants: 8 years and above.

Visitor notice: Road resurfacing works are currently taking place at Hardwick Park, with work starting later today Thursday 8 October.

The car parks will remain open as normal, but visitors are advised to take extra care when accessing the park tomorrow (Friday 9th October) due to the potential for ramps and raises ironworks. Thank you for your patience while these improvement works are completed.
