As we roll into the bank holiday weekend, it feels like the right time to say a thank you to the team behind Scott’s Hire.

We are continuing to grow year on year, with strong performance across the board and May tracking to be the strongest on record.

Thank you to all the teams and departments for the early starts, late finishes, quick turnarounds, breakdown support, deliveries, collections, servicing and all the small things that keep Scott's moving every day.

Thanks to Cadent for hosting a brilliant open day at the NDC.

It was great to connect with some of the teams we work with day to day and finally put a few faces to the names.

It was also a great opportunity to showcase the new Takeuchi UK TB216 E. The thing that still catches people off guard, even experienced operators, is just how quiet it is. No engine noise, no fumes, no disruption. Just smooth, capable electric plant doing exactly what it needs to do. Thanks Parkway Plant Sales Ltd

The five seasons in one day also meant the Boss cabin welfare cabin came in very handy on the stand. The Deep Green Ultra cabin gave us a warm, dry canteen space throughout the day, with heating, fridge and hot water all running from solar without the generator kicking in.

Silent, clean warmth on a wet day. That still takes some beating.

Great to see Scott’s supporting Groundworks and Civils across both the Belper and Milford development sites.

Milford - work continues on the latest plots, creating the base and foundations that allow the next stage of home building to move forward.

Belper - the focus has been on groundwork and reinstating green space around the new residential blocks, working carefully around access routes, finished areas and existing surroundings, while keeping material moving and the site progressing.

Proud to support and play a small part in the progress of both schemes.

A cracking job completed by the team at Shire uk over in Holywell, stabilising the existing structure with ground anchors internally and externally, before carrying out full reinstatement of the garden and perimeter fencing.

Scott’s were pleased to support the site with one of our latest Deep Green Ultra welfare cabins, giving the crew a proper base while the work was being carried out.

The feedback says it all:
“The best welfare cabin I’ve ever been in. Equipped with everything you actually need and a proper drying room. The site crew are over the moon with it. Thanks Scott’s.”

As we head into the bank holiday weekend, it feels like a good time to pause and say thank you.

Thank you to our customers for keeping us busy, trusting us on your sites and continuing to support Scott’s Hire week after week.

Early deliveries, site support ,fresh machines all across the country, none of it happens without a proper team behind the scenes.

Service desk, transport, fitters, engineers, drivers, yard team, hire desk, operations team and everyone keeping things moving, we appreciate the consistent work that goes into making it all happen.

Weeks like this are a reminder of what good people and strong relationships can achieve.

Wishing all our customers, suppliers and the wider construction industry a brilliant bank holiday weekend.
