Just a quick note to say that 16 years after setting up Global Materials Handling Ltd, Andy Evans' time at Global Materials Handling is coming to an end.
Here is a personal message from Andy:
"From a small unit in Rainford back in December 2009 to its current purpose built unit in the heart of Haydock Industrial Estate it has been some journey. We have seen the company grow from strength to strength initially as an approved supplier for Cesab UK before going on to become the North West official dealer for Toyota Industrial Equipment back in 2022.
Success and awards accompanied our growth and we were named dealer of the year on numerous occasions along the way. We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of all our customers past and present and I would like to thank you all for your business and trust over the years. Repeat business is the best indicator of good service and the fact I have dealt with some of you for over 30 years is a clear indication that we are doing things the right way.
I would like to thank all suppliers who have supported us throughout, particularly Cesab UK and Toyota Industrial Equipment UK two strong brands that helped put Global on the map.
Finally a mention of thanks to all my colleagues throughout the years, my two former co- directors Paul & Ste without whom we wouldn’t have had a base to start from.
Engineers, sales people, service staff, wagon drivers, apprentices, labourers, cleaners the lot, you all played a part.
The business will continue in safe hands with such people.
A management team led by Managing Director Dan McKinnon who has been with me since he was an engineering apprentice and who has learned so much along the way. Dan has truly stepped up and along with Louise, Maria and Maria he has a strong team to support him.
For something so precious to me this gives me comfort as I step aside.
I remain a shareholder in the business so will still be keeping a keen eye on performance and Dan knows I will always be on the end of the phone should he need anything.
Finally to quote my old boss Neil Walker “They all go backwards and forwards and up and down, now go and bloody sell some”!!!"
