Pattern prep. underway for a cast plate order - these replacement patterns were made in the 1950's so they are pretty modern for us!
Once everything is clean and flat, we will affix the digits and send it off to the foundry to be cast. They are then returned to us to be ground, polished and enamelled.

We don't often refurbish embossed plates but the client really wanted to keep the originals, so we stripped these, straightened, re-polished and now they are masked up ready to be enamelled.

Two generations of Duke of Richmond both aboard a Bristol 400 at Goodwood Motor Circuit, 75 years apart. On this day in 1948 the ninth Duke of Richmond opened the first ever Goodwood motor race meeting, beginning something that would be continued by his grandson 50 years down the line. On the same day in 1998, The Duke of Richmond followed in his grandfather’s wheel tracks by opening the very first in a Bristol 400 then continued the tradition 25 years later.

"I just wanted to drop you a note to say how happy I am with the number plates that you supplied for my 1954 Austin Healey 100. Here is the car outside the historic David Davis Mansion in Bloomington Illinois USA. This was the home of Abraham Lincoln's campaign manager and a Supreme Court Justice. It is very nice to get BEV reunited with her correct number and to not have to drive on my Illinois antique plates. Illinois law requires that I keep the state plates in the car, available for inspection on demand.
