We had this high spec 320d N47 in as a breaker as the engine made a horrendous noise and the cut itself out after a few seconds.

Today we have read the codes and it showed DPF / EGR faults.

Quick call to Pete Dutton at PD Motorworks and we had some possible solutions.

Disconnected the DPF, started it up and it filled the unit with Oil smoke 🚬 😶‍🌫️

Rory had a little panic and a random racing pigeon came in the unit and tried drinking the oil. Very surreal.

Anyways, on advice from Pete we Disconnected the turbo intake and ran it, and it eventually cleared ip.

Looks as though the DPF issue either caused the turbo seals to fail, or vice versa, but, we have a working N47 for sale if anyone is interested.

Bit of a shame we only got round to looking at the engine after the car was half stripped, but it is what it is.
