A big thank you to our customers, special guests and the Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team for joining us for such a hands-on introduction to wheelchair rugby and Inclusive Design.

Getting involved first-hand was fun, challenging and eye-opening, and gave us all a fresh perspective on accessibility in everyday life.

Just as valuable were the conversations throughout the day around Inclusive Design, and how together as an industry, we can create spaces that are practical and work better for everyone.

Thank you also to Sophie Wilson from the Matt Hampson Foundation , Paralympian Jaimie Steed and Jacob Smith from Bespoke Trade Kitchens who provided their insight on Inclusive Spaces.

Communities are strongest when we look out for one another.

We're pleased to share that OurJay Foundation's accessible defibrillator number 392 is now installed and emergency-ready at our site on Brownsover Road, Rugby.

We hope it never needs to be used, but knowing this life-saving equipment is available to both the wider community and our colleagues provides reassurance for everyone nearby.

This wouldn't have happened without the help of some fantastic people.

Thank you to Iain McKillop, Ryan Plumb, Kevin Gregory, Ben Schmit and our MD, Richard Curtis for helping make this project a reality.

The OurJay Foundation was founded by Jamie Rees' family after Jamie tragically suffered a cardiac arrest on New Year's Day 2022, at just 18 years old.

Today, the foundation helps communities across the UK improve access to publicly available defibrillators and raises awareness of the difference they can make in an emergency.

We're proud to play a small part in supporting that mission and helping make our local community a little safer.

If you're hands-on and interested in property maintenance, facilities or construction, we're looking for a Site Facilities Apprentice (Property Maintenance) to join us at our Rugby Head Office.

Over 15 months, you'll gain real-world experience and develop practical skills like:

✔ Painting and decorating
✔ Carpentry and plumbing
✔ Grounds maintenance and fencing
✔ Building repairs and upkeep
✔ Facilities systems including CCTV, fire alarms and access control

About the role:

• £16,120 starting salary per year
• Potential annual bonus of up to 3%
• Site based at our Rugby Head Office
• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:30pm

An excellent benefits package including pension, health cash plan, life cover and employee discounts

Throughout the programme, you'll get ongoing support from your line manager, college tutors and our Learning & Development team.

Quarterly practical workshops will be held over 2 days in Worcester. Candidates must be able to commute to Head Office and Training Centre locations as required.
