I would say good morning but it is a bit f a sad day for my self. From around the end of June I've not had a great deal of work. It is fact that every so often things do go quite but it is just for a month or so. Other than a couple of orders around August bank holiday there hasn't been much work since June. I did start a job last week and was hoping to complete it by hometime yesterday. Unfortunately my CNC lathe broke down and I was unable to complete the job. I have organised to send what I have to the customer.

I had a call from my repair guy this morning and stated that the board that has the control on it was not working. The cost to replace this is not worth the money as this is the 3rd time the machine has broken down. The machine is nearly 40 years old and something else on the machine could break down in a months time.

With these issues and not being in a position to purchase another machine JLD Fittings is closing down.

I'd like to thank all my family and friends over the last 12 years for supporting me in this venture. Also thank you to all my customers who have purchased the fittings I manufacture and any sub contract work people have given me.

I am selling any fittings I have at 35% discount. So I have a couple of 6" scale steam sirens. Normal price £240.5 closing down price £156. I also have fusible plugs from 1/4" bsp - 1/2" bsp. Tapered plugs also available as well as other fittings that I have been retailing. The web site will stay up for the time being and the ebay listing will be deleted as items run out. If I have any other items like tooling I'll post on here.

Hi all, hope you are well. I am currently working on some of the fittings I manufacture and some sub contract work. I do however currently have capacity on both my CNC lathe and CNC mill to take on more sub contract work.

Machining capabilites are as follows.

CNC lathe - X200mm x Z300mm.
CNC mill - X760mm x Y400mm x Z500.

One off parts as well as batch production undertaken in various materials including aluminium, brass, bronze, steel snd stainless steel.

Good afternoon, it's been a while since I posted last but I have a couple of updates. For a few months my piston compressor was on it's way out and finally gave up the ghost about 2 1/2" months ago now. I was looking for another piston compressor but eventually decided to go with the compressor pictured below. It;s a screw type compressor. These are more efficient and a lot quieter than the piston type. I also purchased an air dryer primarily for my VMC as the oil to the spindle is air fed. Producing 24 CFM this should be much better.

I've always manufactured and supplied wick feed oilers and now these oilers pictured are the current standard oilers that I supply (see prices below).

I am currently on with manufacturing some more fittings ready to take to Shrewsbury (Onslow Park) next weekend over the bank holiday. As last year I will have a trade stand there so, if you are attending the show come and say hello.

Good morning to everyone looking and following my page. I now have available "FOSTER" mechanical lubricators in 3", 4" & 6" scale. These can be purchased from the website along with all the other products I supply. They are under the category of Oil & Water check valves for the moment but they will be put into their own category eventually.

Also we are now 2 weeks away from the miniature event at Statfold Barn Railway so, if anyone would like to place an order for collection at Statfold I'll do my best to facilitate this.

Good afternoon folks, a little update on the work I've done over the last few weeks. I have finally completed the large order of fuseable and blanking plugs including the BR plugs pictured below. Another 2 name plates were machined. Both for the same customer. Over the weekend I started on the drawings for a 3" scale steam siren. I have had enquiries about this scale over the years and had someone ask recently so I think it would be a good idea to manufacture and supply these.
I may have a small batch ready for the miniature event at Statfold barn railway in May. I'm also hoping to have some Foster lubricators with with me. Both 4" & 6" scale and possibly a 6 inch scale. I can supply the "3 & 4" lubricators before then if anyone requires one.

Happy Saturday everyone. It's been a while since I've posted so I figured let's do one.
I've been busy over the last few months manufacturing my fittings and sub contract parts. I did a batch of the titanium aiir rifle cylinders that I do on a regular basis and some bogie wheels and axles. I have a new batch of 6" scale water lifter hoses. There will be a little waiting time for these when purchased as the ends need fitting. I am also still supplying the 4" scale version with a view to offering a 3" scale version later in the year.
This week saw the start of a batch of 1/4" bsp water gauges and back to back gauges for 00 gauge railways. A biggish order I am on with is various sized fusible and blanking plugs. 40 off 1/2" bspt snd 40 off 3/4" bspt along with other quantities and sizes.
Hopefully this year I will be attending the miniature event at Statfold Barn in May which should be a good show.

Good afternoon on this wet Monday afternoon. As you may know I manufacture & supply 1/4" & 3/8" bspt blow. After receiving an order from Onslow park for 2 x 3/8" bspt blow downs I have now made a batch of these and they are now available on the web site.

Also look out in November for some well type steam whistles.
