Worried about your gates and fencing during the high winds?
Don’t worry!
There’s some simple things you can do to protect your gates during the wind:
• Make sure your gates are secured and locked! If your gates aren’t drop bolted down and securely fastened they could fly open causing damage to not only your gates but your fencing and other cars. By making sure they’re properly closed this worry can be taken away.
• Secure your garden! Make sure there’s nothing about which could be blown into your gates or fencing! We specialise in metal, so if your gates and fencing are metal you’re all good from the rain. We also protect our composite gates and fencing with our own tips and tricks. But your composite or metal fencing could possibly be damaged if a trampoline or something else heavy is blown into it. Although unlikely, just secure all your heavy garden belongings away in sheds or outdoor storage boxes so they don’t smash into your fencing and gates.
• Trim your trees! If you have any branches which could fall and ultimately land on your fencing/ gates get them cut. It’s better safe than having to pay for unwanted repairs.
• Hopefully you don’t, but if you do notice any damage to your metal or composite fencing get in touch with us. It’s better to get the repair sorted as soon as possible before you need to replace more! Any weakness in gates or fencing can cause severe damage in high winds.
We’re on hand all week to help you with whatever you need.
