Sometimes the best sales leads start at a petrol station… 😂

One of our long-standing customers is looking to replace two of their training trucks. After chatting to Rob at the petrol station, they discovered we supply new lithium-ion forklifts and asked us what we'd recommend.

They definitely don't make them like they used to...🔧

Kris was called out to a customer’s home recently to investigate a breakdown on this forklift dating back to the 1990s.

More than 30 years old, still working — and still worth repairing. 💪

Older trucks can sometimes be a challenge. Parts aren't always sitting on a shelf, diagrams can be hard to come by and diagnostics involve a little more than plugging in a laptop!

But that's where experience counts.

At Veltrucks, we work on forklifts of all ages and makes, from the latest lithium electrics to machines that have already given decades of service.

Because sometimes the right answer isn't “you need a new truck.”

Something a little different has arrived at Veltrucks… 👀

The latest project definitely doesn't have a mast, forks or a hydraulic attachment.

This Triumph TR2 has been in storage for a number of years, and its owner has asked Joe to bring it back to life so she can enjoy driving it again. ❤️

Anyone who knows Joe will know that forklifts aren't his only mechanical obsession. He's been restoring and working on classic cars for years — usually with one of the younger generation getting dragged in to help along the way. 😂

And this one is no exception.

Before it's even arrived, Joe has already recruited Alex and Camron to the restoration team. 🔧

We'll be sharing some of the progress as they find out exactly what they're dealing with and gradually get this lovely old TR back where it belongs — on the road.

More than forklifts? We weren't joking. 😂

August at Veltrucks 💛🖤

From everyday servicing and breakdowns to refurbishments, a bespoke brick clamp and a couple of trips across the Solent — August certainly kept us busy! 🔧

And judging by the map, we covered a few miles along the way too… 😂

A huge thank you to all of our customers, old and new, for continuing to trust our little independent team to keep your equipment moving.

8 months in the making…🔥

This bespoke brick attachment has been quite a project!

Designed by SMC Euroclamp specifically for , the whole process from site survey to the finished attachment has taken around 8 months.

When the new attachment arrived at Veltrucks, there was still work for our team to do before it was ready for its new home. Kris, Joe and Camron carried out the final modifications, including fitting additional wear pads to Michelmersh's specification.

It also gave Kris the perfect opportunity to pass on some of his experience and give Camron a lesson in welding. 👨‍🏭🔥

But perhaps our favourite part of this job is the history behind it.

From Joe looking after their trucks in the 1970s to today's bespoke attachments – we're incredibly proud that the relationship is still going strong. 💛🖤
