PW Services has been out in Truro carrying out repairs to two shipping containers that were damaged during the storm Goretti.

A fallen tree struck both containers, causing significant damage to the roofs and twisting one of the frames so severely that the doors could no longer be opened or closed correctly.

Our team carried out the necessary repairs to restore the structural integrity of the containers, straighten the affected frame, and get everything back into full working order.

Another job completed with minimal downtime for the customer! 🛠️

This weekend, PW Services was on-site on a Saturday to carry out essential repairs on a tipper body, ensuring the vehicle could get straight back to work with as little disruption as possible.

The original floor had suffered significant wear, so we installed new 5mm steel sheets, plug welded directly to the existing body to strengthen the floor and significantly increase the longevity of the tipper. The result is a durable, hard-wearing repair built to withstand the demands of daily use.

Called out to sort out a material handler after the pin had started to walk out and bend.

Got it sorted with a bit of heat, welded the pin bosses, then die ground everything out to remove some of the slack in the pin and get it sitting right again.

New pins and bushes have now been ordered so it can be repaired properly and made right.

Another machine back up and working as it should in the meantime 💪🔥

On site at Boskednan today sorting a leaking turbo oil feed pipe.

Dealer part had a 2–3 week wait, so we got a replacement hose made up by Hydroscand, fitted new washers, and got the horse box back up and running — good as new… or as good as can be for a old Renault 😅

Something a little different for us this week! 🌊🔧

We had the pleasure of working with Sea View Holiday Park down in Sennen, helping to reassemble this fantastic sculpture after it had been carefully cut down for safe transportation. It’s always great to be involved in projects that are a bit out of the ordinary—and even better when there’s a sea view to go with it!

Seeing it come back together and take shape again was really rewarding. A big thanks to the team for having us involved 👏

Another job in for a regular client 👨‍🔧

This hook lift bin came in with a worn lifting bar that had gone past its safe working limit — not something you want to take chances with. After inspection, we cut out the damaged section and carried out the necessary repairs to restore strength and integrity.

Now it’s fully repaired, safe, and ready to go straight back into service 💪

Great to see this lift come together so well—fantastic work by RR Transport Ltd and Cornish Concrete on this one 👏

This video highlights a powerful concrete lift, and we’re proud to have played a part behind the scenes.

At PW Services, we modified the steel frame to ensure it could safely lift the concrete casting, while also allowing it to be transported without coming into contact with the lorry bed—protecting both the load and the vehicle.

Even better, the frame was designed to double up as the lifting frame, making the whole process from transport to installation more efficient and practical.

And if we’re honest—there’s nothing quite like seeing your work in action on site… and the relief when everything performs exactly as it should! ✅

Well… that was an interesting one yesterday, guys! 😅

Our generator clearly didn’t get the memo about Sunday Funday and instead decided to go full “BANG”… safe to say, we at P W Service’s were not impressed by that sneaky move.

If you want a day off, just ask — no need to pull a sicky! 🤦🏻‍♀️
