At SPP Pumps, we have a long history of successful apprenticeship appointments. Many of our senior positions today are filled by individuals who started out as apprentices and trainees and have developed and grown into senior managers and technical experts.

For our Craft & Technical (mainly engineering) apprentices, we work alongside excellent training providers who deliver the first year of our Apprenticeship Programme at their highly equipped facilities in and around Gloucester. From year two onwards you will be based at our award winning Coleford Manufacturing facility where you will be a valued member of our team developing your skills in a busy and supportive working environment.

Alternatively, for our Business Admin Apprentices, you will join us from day one and complete your apprenticeship whilst working in our offices at our main Coleford facility or one of our Service Centres across the UK and Ireland.

Last week, we had a news film crew from BBC Gloucestershire at our main UK manufacturing and service facility to film and interview Billy Pugh, one of our Services fitting apprentices, and Liam Marley, who heads up our apprenticeship program. We’re incredibly proud of Billy, who is balancing a full-time apprenticeship at SPP Pumps with competing as an elite downhill freeride racer across Europe.

At just 18, Billy has already raced in Poland, Switzerland, and France, and is now setting his sights on the iXS European Downhill Cup in Portugal — all while continuing his three-year engineering apprenticeship with us.

Billy Pugh juggles his work in engineering with racing mountain bikes all over the world.

Our UK open Apprentice Evening attracted a full house. It was great to see so much interest and enthusiasm, and it was a fantastic evening to show case SPP Pumps and the fantastic opportunities that we can offer. Thank you to all who attended.

Our UK operations and offices will have a shutdown from end of 24 December and business will resume as usual on 02 January (Scotland 03 January).
During this period emergency cover will be in place to support our customers.
