Stop-choc Limited was first set up as the British operating company for the Vibrachoc Group. Since early 1977, Stop-choc operated a manufacturing unit primarily for the design, development and production of illuminated display panels, anti-vibration mounts and avionics racking. In 1994 the Vibrachoc group joined the TotalEnergies group HUTCHINSON, world leaders in the manufacture of rubber product
s whose head office is in Paris. Since 1934, Paulstra has been designing and developing anti-vibration mountings and systems to meet the most extreme applications. In 1994 they were joined in the Hutchinson organisation by Vibrachoc and Stop-choc to become one of the world's leading manufacturers. Barry Controls, the highly regarded American organisation joined Hutchinson in 2000 and in 2005 its UK operations were fully integrated into Stop-choc. Vibration and Shock Isolation
Stop-choc design and manufacture anti vibration mounts, vibration isolation products & vibration isolators, shock mounts, shock isolation systems, anti vibration racking and transit cases, offshore mounts and illuminated control panels. We provide anti vibration mount solutions using the latest technology in highly damped materials reducing amplification at resonance and providing excellent durability in severe environments. Stop-choc also supply an extensive range of all-metal vibration mounts using special grades of stainless steel which are both unaffected by contamination and provide extreme environmental capabilities. Illuminated Control Panels & Displays
The control panel division of Stop-choc design and manufacture cockpit illuminated control panels in aluminium and acrylic using filament lamp, LED and electroluminescent light source technology. Control panels and keyboards include push button switching systems, logic circuitry and displays, integrated within the panel body. In addition to aircraft use, our illuminated panels and control systems are also used in a wide variety of other industries including flight simulation, defense, rail, naval and marine. Our control panels are designed specifically to comply with civil, military and marine environmental standards. Avionics Racking
Stop-choc also design and manufactures light weight aluminium and stainless steel trays, bases, racking systems and associated hardware for installing electronics and avionics equipment on board aircraft, military vehicles and naval vessels. As well as bespoke products we can also supply from a large part of the BARRY CONTROLS portfolio. Stop-choc trays and racks use our own hold down assemblies to further enhance the vibration performance and long term durability of your equipment. Desapro Transit Cases
Formerly known as EDAK, the specialist transit case business has now been acquired and re-branded under new management as Desapro. Stop-choc supply the Desapro range of transit cases for specialist packaging requirements and acts as Desapro's UK representative.
