Thomsons Hardware Thomsons Hardware is a traditional hardware store selling a wide range of products for the home and garden. People often tell us we always have what they need.

Proud of our heritage, we offer old fashioned service, expert advice and value for money. Thomsons Hardware is a family run traditional local hardware store. There has been a hardware store in Fortescue Road since the 1890’s. Our proper old fashioned hardware store has only ever had 3 owners. It was started by Mr Orchard, who ran the shop until Mr Tiley took over in the 1950’s. Mr Thomson took it

on in the 1970’s and it is still family run. Known to all our loyal customers as 'Mr T', Mr Thomson is now in his 90’s, but he is still 'the boss' and no matter the question, he will usually have the answer. Proud of our heritage and traditional approach, we pride ourselves on the knowledge and expertise we have gained through the decades. Our years of experience mean we know which products really work and are right for the job. There are some lovely customers who have called the store an Aladdin's cave of products. With everything from the newest tech to the old fashioned favourites. Like the traditional Victorian ironmonger, we try to keep a range of products to cover all eventualities in the home. Offering old fashioned service, expert advice and value for money, which we like to think is the perfect combination!

Autumn bulbs have arrived at Thomsons Hardware in Radstock! We have a great selection of pre packed crocus, tulips, hyacinths and daffodils at £2.99. We also have King Alfred daffodils and Tete A Tete miniature daffs loose, 20p each. Winter onions and garlic also in stock. Garlic is £1 per bulb and winter onions are 10p each - get just as many as you need! Find us at Thomsons Hardware, Fortescue Road, Radstock.

I forgot! I admit - it had been a busy day and I just forgot. We have been feeding a hedgehog for about a year, since he was rescued and set up home at the top of the garden. We call him Mr MossyHog. I put out food, the food disappears, but we've not seen him since he arrived. Well, I suddenly remembered at 1am, that I had not put the food out last night. So, I put on some shoes and go up the garden. And there he was, sat by the bowl, tapping his little toes on the grass and wondering where his food was to. How can a hedgehog look so accusing - but he did. I filled up his bowl and retreated. Brambles Hedgehog Food, officially approved by Mr MossyHog. Cool boxes and cool bags are in stock at Thomsons Hardware. These colourful cool bags are just £6.99, and large enough for a family picnic. Cool boxes are a great option if you're camping - we have a 10l box for £16.60, 24l for just £19.99 and 30l for £30.99. Lots of lunch bags, drinks bottles and lunch boxes to choose from, or treat yourself to a Stanley flask - they are dearer than the rest - but they are amazing at keeping your drink really hot!
