We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join our Operations team at our Head Office in Pwllheli.
The main purpose of the role is to plan inbound stock movements from Europe and Asia from our various manufacturing facilities. The role reports into the Senior Inventory Controller and works closely alongside the Warehouse, Marketing, Sales, Purchasing and Quality departments.
The main elements of this role are:
• Use of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to generate purchase order suggestions
• Placing product orders to ensure adequate stock levels and satisfy sales
• Maintenance and review of inbound shipment dates
• Be the central point to facilitate the arrangement of inbound shipments by liaising with our manufacturing facilities and freight forwarders
• Support and assist in maintaining the high accuracy of our stock levels
To succeed in this role, the following would be an advantage but not essential:
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse data and interpret the information effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to liaise effectively internally and externally
• Comfortable and proficient in the use of software packages, especially Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level
• Familiarity with the use of ERP software
• An understanding of stock management principles such as safety stock levels, re-order points, lead-times etc.
• Previous experience of working in an office-based environment
