As a team who know a thing or two about enclosures, this is something we see all too often. 👀

The IP rating looks correct on paper, but the enclosure has been purchased for the wrong environment. A standard metal enclosure installed outside can quickly become a big problem. Rust, corrosion, doors that no longer seal, and ultimately a reduced lifespan for your installation.

Environment matters. Whether an enclosure is installed indoors or outdoors, in a corrosive atmosphere, exposed to sunlight, or is required to meet hygienic standards, these conditions demand the right material choice, not just the right IP rating.
