Last Friday, we had the pleasure of celebrating ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐๐ผ๐ป'๐ retirement after an incredible ๐ฏ๐ณ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ with Sub Surface.
Dave joined the Sub Surface in ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ญ๐ต๐ด๐ต as a Geotechnical Engineer before taking on the challenge of establishing ๐ฆ๐๐ฏ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ต ๐๐ฎ๐๐ in 1990.
Starting as Contracts Manager and becoming a Director later that same year, Dave went on to spend more than three decades building the North East operation into the successful and respected regional business it is today.
Dave's success was built on his ability to ๐๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ, ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฐ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐บ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐. His commercial awareness and charismatic approach helped establish Sub Surface North East as a trusted name within the ground investigation industry.
Those who have worked alongside Dave will also remember his tea and mud-stained plans, and legendary water divining talents.
As Dave begins a well-earned retirement, he leaves the North East office in a strong position, with Alex Hunter now leading the region and building on the foundations Dave established over the past 37 years.
