When we work with local suppliers, we ask them to give back to our community through 'social value'. In the case of Key Engineering & Hygiene Supplies Ltd they donated products to our libraries and our young people seeking work through The Platform.
The company donated PPE for young people so they could be work-ready. These donations removed financial barriers for those looking for work, training or placements. Having access to free PPE enables them to be prepared, confident and most importantly safe.
Key Supplies donated period and sanitary products to Blackpool libraries, showing support to our residents who may be experiencing period poverty.
Sophie, Managing Director of Key Supplies, said: "We are very pleased to support both the period poverty initiative and the provision of work-readiness PPE and hygiene packs for young people, and we look forward to continuing to support Blackpool Council and the local community wherever we can."
Thank you to Sophie and everyone at Key Supplies for this show of generosity and supporting our work for residents. Tackling health inequalities and strengthening youth employment pathways form a key part of our council priorities.
