There’s plenty happening under our roof, with our capabilities covering CNC machining, EDM, tooling and design, alongside prototyping and inspection.

And once all that work on our side is done, we don’t hang about getting it to you.

We work with national delivery services to get finished components where they need to be quickly and safely, because a fast turnaround isn’t much use if your parts spend the next few days sitting in a box!

So, when the schedule is tight, we can keep things moving right through from manufacture to delivery. ✔️

Inspection is a huge part of what happens behind the scenes at Langstone, and it starts long before a finished component is ready to leave us.

We inspect incoming materials, carry out first article and in-process checks, then finish with final inspection, testing and reporting.

And when a part calls for even more detailed verification, our temperature-controlled metrology room is home to CMMs, laser scanning and portable inspection technology, giving us plenty of ways to put a component under the microscope. 👍

Got a component that’s a little on the large side?
Sounds like a job for our ACURA 85! 💪

With 900 × 850 × 700mm of travel, an Ø850 × 750mm rotating/swivelling table and the ability to handle up to 1,000kg, our 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝟴𝟱 gives us plenty to play with.

But size is only half the story.

Its 5-axis capability means we can get around complex components and machine multiple faces in fewer set-ups - especially handy when there are awkward angles and tricky features involved!

With the Singapore GP this weekend, here’s a component that’ll certainly be earning its keep around Marina Bay!

A suspension upright (like this👇) has a pretty demanding job, connecting key parts of the wheel and suspension assembly while dealing with the forces generated under braking, acceleration and cornering.

And it’s a component we know our way around.

This one was 5-axis machined, with plenty of material taken out to keep the weight down while maintaining the strength and rigidity required.

Marine engineering can throw up some pretty interesting machining challenges... but that’s the sort of work we like gett...

Marine engineering can throw up some pretty interesting machining challenges... but that’s the sort of work we like getting stuck into!

With 5-axis machining, turning, EDM and grinding under one roof, we can find the right route through a job rather than trying to make one process fit.

And with over 25 years behind us, we know our way around precision components, tooling and assemblies for demanding marine applications.

Long straights, heavy braking zones and demanding desert conditions... every F1 car will be put to work at the Bahrain GP this weekend.

And behind those cars are thousands of components designed and manufactured to withstand exactly those demands - a world we know all too well.

Manufacturing precision components for the motorsport industry is our bread and butter, and delivering high-quality engineering is what it’s all about.

With Mercedes having quite the healthy lead over the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull, Bahrain this weekend should be pretty interesting.

No rest for the wicked as they say… and there’s certainly no rest for our Hedelius T7-1600! 💪

This time, it’s working its way through a large tool base, machining a series of lightweighting pockets to reduce the overall weight of the base without compromising the strength and rigidity required in use.

It’s a sizeable bit of machining, but exactly the sort of work the T7-1600 is made for.

Complex profiles, hard materials, awkward features… that’s exactly the sort of work we like getting stuck into.

And EDM is one of those processes that earns its place when the drawing starts getting interesting.

Our EDM capability sits alongside our 5-axis machining and turning machines, so we’re not looking at the job from the point of view of one process. We can work out the most sensible route to manufacture the part and keep more of the work under one roof.

There’s a fair bit going on in this one. 👀

This foam forming tool was manufactured with multiple sections, mating faces and alignment features all needing to come together exactly as intended.

And this certainly isn’t our first. We’ve manufactured more than 10,000 tools over the past 25+ years, so complex tooling is something we know very well!
