We were proud to celebrate Myles Chambers as he marked 40 years of service with us at SAM NI.

Myles joined JW Kane on 10 October 1986 and has been part of our team ever since, helping shape our business through four decades of change and growth.

To mark the occasion, Joel Best presented Myles with a watch in recognition of his dedication and contribution over the years.

We’re recruiting a 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 to join us at our Portadown manufacturing site. You’ll lead our procurement team and work with suppliers and colleagues across the business to support production targets and business objectives.

You’ll need at least five years’ procurement experience in manufacturing, experience leading supplier negotiations and managing contracts, and confidence using ERP/MRP systems.

Three of our apprentices recently completed overhead crane training with Mr Forklift Training Services. The session covered the safe operation of an overhead gantry crane and correct slinging techniques.

David Bell, one of our apprentices, completed the same training last month, meaning all four have now completed the course.

It’s great to see our apprentices gaining practical experience and developing skills they can use throughout their careers.

CNC machining forms a core part of our manufacturing capabilities at SAM NI, helping us produce large, complex aerospace components to exact specifications.

An axis refers to the direction in which a machine’s cutting tool or the component can move. The number of axes used affects the angles and surfaces the cutting tool can reach during machining.
