Today, the Pro Steel team were delighted to welcome their newest recruit Sam to the growing workforce, and have him join them on their lunchtime wellbeing walk in support of mental health.

Enjoying the beautiful sunshine, the walk offered the perfect opportunity for some of the team to get to know their new colleague, and for Sam to get to know them in return.

Pro Steel Engineering is growing, and we’re looking for skilled Welders and Fabricators to join our workshop team!

🛠 What You’ll Do
• Fabricate/Weld bespoke structural steel components
• Work from detailed fabrication drawings
• Keep high quality and safety standards

⭐ What We’re Looking For
• Background in structural steel fabrication
• MAG & FCAW welding skills
• Ability to read fabrication drawings
• Good attention to detail

Bonus (not essential):
Overhead crane licence, forklift experience, or heavy‑steel background.

💰Rates of pay up to £21.50 dependent on level of experience.

⏱ Hours & Benefits
• Full‑time Permanent
• Overtime at enhanced rates
• Progression opportunities
• Free on‑site parking & good transport links

Today, three members of the Pro Steel team kicked off their Wednesday Lunchtime Walk & Talk initiative in support of mental health awareness.

Making the most of the beautiful spring sunshine, the trio enjoyed a walk along a section of the Brecon to Monmouthshire Canal in Pontypool.

The weekly initiative is designed to encourage more colleagues to get involved, particularly as we welcome the much-anticipated warmer weather.

Albeit it slightly premature, today the team here at Pro Steel celebrate, the rich history, language, and culture of Wales and honour the legacy of our patron Saint whose words, "Do the little things", continue to inspire kindness, and community spirit.

Whilst we couldn't guarantee the weather for a lunchtime walk today, we most certainly could guarantee the Welsh Cakes and Bara Brith.

Our team effort today is in support of our very own Co-Founder & MD Richard Selby who is currently a little over half way up Kilimanjaro. Richard and the team of King's Trust volunteers are on Day 4 of their epic adventure to reach the summit, Uhuru Peak (5895m) which they are hoping to do so in the early hours of Sunday morning.....Saint David's Day! 🇩🇿

Our very own Co-Founder and Managing Director, Richard Selby, is taking on the honourable challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money in support of The King’s Trust. 🏔️🇹🇿
Today, we presented Richard with a small token of our support and admiration as he enters the final countdown before setting off on the challenge of a lifetime. He will reach the summit in true Welsh style, in the early hours of St David’s Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Richard, we wish you all the luck in the world. You have the full strength of your workforce behind you — if anyone can do this, you can! 💪
