🔧 Another tanker back on the road with minimal downtime! 🚛
We had a call-out to a tanker that had stopped recycling, and the customer was understandably concerned that the recycling pump on this Super Recycler had failed — which would have been a pretty costly repair! 💷
After some careful diagnosis and testing, rather than simply firing the “parts cannon” at it, we managed to pinpoint the actual fault.
During testing, we noticed the tanker was creating suction in both the front and rear tanks at the same time. This was causing the recycled water to become trapped within the pipework, stopping the recycling system from working correctly.
A relatively straightforward fault once correctly diagnosed — fixed, tested and back on the road with minimal downtime and minimal parts costs. ✅

🔧 Nice Monday morning repair to start the week! 🔧

A customer lost suction late on Friday afternoon. We managed to get them taped up and finished the job, then spent the weekend getting the required parts organised.

First thing Monday morning, we were on site and straight to work, replacing the holed components with new parts and getting the truck back up to full working pressure before its next shift began. 💪🚛

🚨 Another job completed by C&G Tankers! 🚨
We were out to a customer today after they experienced smoke and a burning smell coming from the jetting pump area.
After diagnosing the issue, we found a damaged clutch pack. Luckily, we had a new clutch pack in our van stock, allowing us to get the repair completed quickly and minimise downtime for our customer. 👌🔧

🔧 Another major repair completed this week! 🔧

This week we've been busy carrying out a complete pump overhaul on a Bucher recycling vehicle fitted with a Uraca pump.

The pump had suffered severe crankshaft wear after water had mixed with the oil and the unit continued to be run. To get it back to full working order we carried out:

✅ New crankshaft and bearings
✅ New bearing shells
✅ 3 new ceramic plungers due to cracking
✅ Full oil seal kit
✅ New water seals in the pump head

The customer is now back up and running with minimal downtime – exactly what we aim for on every job.

Out to a customer today with a major oil leak on a camera van.

After inspection, we found the crankshaft oil seal had failed. Luckily, we got to it just in time, as the timing belt had also been damaged by a windscreen clip that had somehow found its way inside the timing belt cover.

We replaced the crankshaft seal and fitted a brand-new timing belt and water pump kit, getting the vehicle back on the road safely and reliably.

Nice little return valve change on this vehicle.

This little valve can cause a big issue when it wears out. This was cutting the jetting out at a lower pressure than it should.

Valve changed and now back to full pressure and not cutting out while in use.
