Netherlands Data Centre Enclosures

ADE were appointed by a leading global supplier of systems to design and manufacture 14 bespoke 85 dB(A) at 1m to house their 3500 kVA 3616E for a hyperscale in the .

Following the design, , and painting of the enclosures, ADE engineers installed the as well as motorised dampers, bird mesh, water mist eliminators, internal lighting, and small .

Alongside the , ADE also designed and manufactured a bespoke bolt-on cabinet for fire suppression equipment, and a 3m tall air outlet stack.

Following completion, each package underwent client-specific testing, carried out by ADE engineers to verify build quality, integration, and readiness for site installation prior to dispatch.

The completed enclosures were then dispatched to our client's storage to await delivery to the data centre. Our client's engineers positioned the units and completed final assembly, including fitting the air outlet stacks as well as SCR systems to ensure compliance with emissions regulations.

This was just phase 1 of the overall , with a further 101 enclosures currently in production at ADE for 3 additional phases... reinforcing ADE’s proven capability to deliver high-volume packages for hyperscale data centre applications.

Swiss Infrastructure Backup Enclosures

ADE were contracted by a leading Swiss solutions provider to design and manufacture 3 bespoke for 670 kVA Volvo , to form critical standby systems for a major Swiss city.

Strict site constraints required noise levels of just 65 dB(A) at 1 metre within a compact city centre footprint. ADE engineered a high-performance solution, incorporating removable penthouse attenuators with weather louvres and bird mesh for airflow and protection.

The were designed for practicality, with removable end panels for genset installation, multiple access doors for maintenance, and integrated dampers for controlled airflow. Cable entry points and fuel ducts ensured seamless integration with the wider system.

Finished to a durable C4 paint specification, the units were delivered to for installation of the . The result was a robust, space-efficient solution meeting demanding acoustic and operational requirements in a complex urban environment.

London Data Centre Packaging

When AVK secured a contract to supply 96 MVA of emergency standby to a new hyperscale in London, they once again chose ADE as their trusted partner.

Supporting the 3rd building on an expanding campus, the new 40 MW facility (scheduled for completion mid-2026) will take the total capacity of the campus beyond 100 MW.

ADE designed and manufactured 32 bespoke to house 3030 kVA sets at a noise level of 60 dB(A) at 7 metres. Each unit was fully mechanically fitted at our facility with AVK’s equipment, plus auxiliary equipment and systems.

To meet the strict noise level requirements, features of the include: motorised outlet dampers, inlet attenuators, and roof-mounted silencers - ensuring controlled airflow without compromising performance.

ADE also facilitated a full 12-hour factory acceptance test, enabling AVK's engineers to validate mechanical, electrical, and acoustic performance. All 32 units were then delivered to site, ready for installation and commissioning by AVK.

The result: almost 100 MVA of fully integrated , purpose-built for the demands of modern data centre infrastructure.

Critical Generation & Distribution Enclosures

ADE were contracted by a long-standing client - a major UK provider of solutions - to design and manufacture 2 bolt-together to form a modular substation to provide emergency standby for a UK .

The 1st enclosure was a fully bunded 65 dB(A) at 1m designed to house an 800 kVA , complete with a 1,500 litre internal day tank, motorised and gravity dampers, bird mesh, weather louvres, and a bund alarm.

The 2nd enclosure was a to house and a transformer. Designed for 120-minute , it consisted of a fully bunded HV/transformer room and an MV room, and featured a pressure relief vent with weather louvre and security bars, base and wall cable entry points, vents, and fans.

ADE also designed and manufactured a 13,000 litre free-standing bespoke bulk to support extended run times for the generator.

Both enclosures were finished in C4M paint due to the site’s coastal proximity, before they were dispatched to our client's factory for installation of the generator, switchgear, and transformer, after which they delivered and installed the completed packaged at the prison.

UK Power Station Modular Switchrooms

ADE were appointed by a leading global manufacturer of electrical control systems to design and manufacture 4 bespoke modular to house their control and distribution equipment for a UK CCGT CHP .

The scope consisted of LV, MV, and VSD modules, and a termination chamber. To accelerate programme delivery, the VSD module was manufactured and fitted out in a traditional method, while the remaining 3 modules were delivered utilising a “skid and lid” approach.

For the LV, MV and termination chamber modules, the “skids” (bases) and the “lids” (wall and roof assemblies) were fabricated and C5M-painted separately. Once complete, the skids were delivered to the client for installation of their , and other equipment.

Simultaneously, ADE fitted out the lids with lighting, small , earthing, HVAC and other required auxiliary equipment. The equipped skids were then returned to ADE for final test fitting and quality checks prior to dispatch.

On site, the were positioned and installed by ADE engineers, with the LV, MV and VSD modules combined to form a single multi-module structure atop an ADE designed and manufactured 1.4 metre-high galvanised substructure, complete with access platforms and stairs.

Following installation, ADE engineers also installed all the interconnecting cabling between the enclosed equipment. The completed installation now provides secure, reliable housing for the vital power control at the facility.
