As far as the s chassis goes this one is a good one, very good in fact. However this really highlights those first signs and spots where the rust can really take hold.

Minor fabwork needed on this one in comparison to most S15's nowadays. The rule of thumb here is usually once you can see the signs of rust it's actually alot deeper than is realised.

If you would like any form of rust repair or custom metalwork be sure to give us a call, from full underside and engine bay restorations to even just preventative maintenance we've got you covered! 😎

Nissan 370z jacking bar recently completed for a customer. This one has tow strap location and tucks nicely under the standard bumper. While we were at it we fabbed up a second one using different tubing and a slight design difference.

We can make these to any required spec, application or vehicle and offer both mig and tig welding as per customer request.

Shout out to for the powdercoat on this one

So, with the supra nearing completion it's left us time to pick up some of the other, non resto type jobs.

First up has been the custom tubular front end on the S14. All lights and various coolers are now mounted (update to follow). This is a fully tig welded bolt on option housing some rather different headlights.

Next was the 2.0 tfsi caddy in for a little noise refinement. Full 316 silencer neatly fitted into the already fitted milltek system.

Then it was onto one which was a first for us. A polo GTi with a torn engine mounting, this had torn all the factory spot welds incredibly cleanly. Reinstalled with extra spot welds and a couple of stitch welds on top for security.

Another noise refinement adding two silencers and custom pipes to original tips on a lovely Porsche Carrera 4s

And finally for today, a pair of R33 strengthened arms and a strengthened S14 subframe with steering rack relocation. This is an option to have done in house by us or supplied as a weld on kit.

We can't deny the charms of this little rascal we've had in this week. A very honest patina from its days selling strawberries it certainly tells a story.

However she needed a little TLC to bring her up to scratch.

Both wings and inner structures were replaced and the corners of both sliding doors fixed. Safe to say it's solid for many years to come.

The customers plan is to keep the awesome patina it has and feather in the repaired areas.

Now it's onto the next one and a night on eBay seeing if there's any rascals for myself 😆

The supra now has a set of solid sills!!!!!😱😱. A milestone today after finally buttoning up the rear corners of both sills, even managed to save the Toyota pressings 😀😀
All factory jack points remade while we were at it.

Moved on and tackled the rather rotten lower radiator support. Fortunately we got our hands on a new section meaning this one was relatively straight forward.

Minor work to do on the O/S rear arch and it will be onto seam sealing and underseal.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates on some tubular front end goodness in the near future 😎.

Project Supra update, after a few repair patches regarding the N/S floor it was time to rebuild the multiple layers of the inner sill.

Almost every piece cut out needed a repair of some kind but this now means that she is solid metal from front to rear. A nice coating of red oxide after assembly should keep this sill solid for years to come.

Just the outer sill to tackle next with the rear corner requiring some complex shaping. Better get the hammers out 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨

Some real progress on the supra in the last couple of weeks, that's both rear arch areas almost complete and a way into the reconstruction of the N/S inner sill.

Very same story as the O/S.
All material from front to back is being cut out and separated from the floor pan ready to receive fresh metal.

As much original material retained with most areas requiring at least some repair work.

All jacking points rebuilt and reinforced and then it's onto the front section, of which requires some floor pan patches.

Following on from our last Supra post, the O/S bucket areas are now almost done. A fair bit of fab required still in the inner arch, but that will be a job for later.

Meanwhile, the sills have been chopped open so we could really see the extent of the rot. Unfortunately, the innermost skin of the sill was rotten on its lower edge.

New metal in through the length of the inner sill and all accessible areas treated.

A hell of a lot of time and energy in this repair, meticulously pairing back all the skins and bracing which form the structure of this Supras sills and repairing the individual sections where required.

First port of call for the Supra was this O/S rear pocket.

This is a largely common issue we see, so finding it was no surprise and as always the rot got the chop ✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️

More work on this corner needed tomorrow to fabricate a new front bucket and this area can be ticked off.

On initial analysis, after removing a hellishly thick coating of underseal and seam sealer the car is largely solid. However, where the underseal has thinned off the rot has taken ahold.

More on this one in coming weeks 💪💪💪💪

After saying goodbye to the black s14 we've just had in for some metalwork, we now welcome this stunning Toyota Supra onto the resto ramp.

Although the well kept exterior is seemingly solid, the underneath tells a different story hiding some gremlins we need to take care of.

First up is disassembly and a full inspection in the actual work required. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on this one 👀👀👀!!!!!

We've recently had this lovely porsche in for a small rear quarter panel rust patch.

Upon further diagnosis and the discovery of a large patch of filler, the only logical option was a replacement panel.

As always, the rust didn't just stop there. Luckily, we had Karl at hand to cut, treat, and replace all the nasty areas.

Top work from Karl on this job, the final product really speaks for itself.👏
