New Covid Rules
To allow us to return to swimming we would we need to comply to Swim England and government guidelines these include. Reduced class sizes - for us this means 4 in t
he shallow, 5 in the middle, 8 in the deep end. Reduced equipment in use two sets I for first and last and one for middle (First cleaned before Last). No staff allowed in pool with swimmers therefore we regrettably must suspend swimming for children who cannot swim a width of the pool as the safety of your children in the pool is imperative. (children are allowed floats and armbands)
The Badge Scheme will be suspended until restrictions are lifted – we will just concentrate on teaching your child to swim. Only one parent /carer to attend lessons. Changing rooms will NOT be in use – toilets only to be used in emergencies
Covid-19 protocols to be followed at all times. Please only arrive 5 mins prior to your lesson and wait outside the building in your car until invited in. Once your child has entered the building please move your car to the public carpark as there will be one-way system in operation for the pool for swimmers (Exit will be by the Fire Exit at the deep end). Please follow all signs / both in and outside of the pool area. Hand sanitizer provided on the way in; please ensure you and your child use it. Social distancing to be adhered to by parents / carers. Families to remain 2 metres apart. If on poolside stay in designated area. Please scan in using the NHS QR code when in the building. The use of a face mask is mandatory when in the building -please bring your own mask. (ONLY EXEMPT -when displaying green exemption card)
Please ensure -: Your Child showers at home prior to lessons. (Recommended) Your Child comes ready to swim e.g. to wear costume under clothes, track suit, onesie etc, as you will not be on poolside to help. Child to shower at home afterwards and Dry and change as quickly as possible after swimming lessons. Your child will be allowed to leave via the fire exit into your care – no child will be allowed to leave without a parent/carer being present
Interactions with staff to be kept to a minimum - phone or email questions where possible. Please do not attend if your child or a member of your household displays ANY symptoms. Staff will reserve the right to ask anyone to leave they feel is unwell. Unfortunately to cover increased running costs we need to raise lessons to £6 per 30-minute session. Unless we all strictly adhere to the rules, we risk be refused access to the school. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
