Four brilliant days of training wrapped up at Cleanspec Cumbria 👏
A huge congratulations to Jared Long and Lee Breen from Train to Clean on delivering two successful courses across four full days here in Penrith.

It was great to see a real mix in the room — including several new starters to the industry taking their first steps into professional training. That willingness to learn properly from the beginning sets a strong foundation, and it’s something we always love to see.

A big thank you to everyone who attended. The engagement, questions and positive attitude across all four days created a fantastic learning environment.

Remember, the learning doesn’t stop when the course finishes. You’re always welcome back at Cleanspec if you need advice, support, or simply a bit of guidance as you put your new skills into practice.

From stubborn stains to delicate fabrics, understanding what you’re cleaning makes all the difference. Get hands-on with Jared Long & Lee Breen from Train to Clean at Cleanspec Cumbria and build the knowledge to tackle your next job with greater confidence.

Starting out or already cleaning professionally? There’s real value in being able to put what you’ve just learned into practice.

Our fully equipped training centre includes a demo living room, different carpet types, a range of sofas and chairs, and demonstration stairs to practise on.

This gives our trainees the chance to work through the cleaning situations they’ll face in customers’ homes. They can try the techniques, ask questions and understand why a particular approach works, with guidance as they learn.

We had to share this one. 💚

On the Tools was everything we hoped it would be — people getting hands-on, asking questions, trying something new and sharing knowledge.

Paul Cranney was a huge part of that. He really is at the top of his game, and having him and Jim there demonstrating, answering questions and sharing their experience was exactly what the day was all about.

And of course Shona, who was there lending a hand with the Stone Care Direct team and getting stuck in alongside them. 💚

A proud family moment at Cleanspec. 💚

Many of you know Dan Fitzpatrick as The AI Educator, an international speaker and bestselling author. For anyone who hasn’t made the connection, he’s also Lynne’s son, Andrew’s stepson and Kate’s brother!

Having him join us for Cleanspec: On The Tools was something really special. His hour on AI in business was brilliant, showing how small business owners can use it in their everyday work and explaining it in a way that made sense to everyone in the room.

That’s what Dan does so well. He makes a subject that can feel overwhelming feel approachable, useful and worth exploring.

Thank you, Dan, for making time for us and bringing so much to the day. We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved, and it meant a lot to share a little of what you do with our customers and friends.

Worked with small businesses this morning on agentic AI. I didn’t use the word agentic once. It’s a ‘mysterious’ term they didn’t need.

The way I see it, at the moment, any good agentic flow is just context, connectors, skills and scheduled tasks.

Exactly the same as a good employee:

Their domain knowledge, the tools they use, how they apply their knowledge + the tools, and when they do it.

When you cut through the crap this AI thing is quite good you know.

We put our hearts into On the Tools — and you made every bit of it worthwhile. 💚

Seeing everyone together, trying the machines, sharing advice and having a proper catch-up made all the planning worthwhile. We’ve got a lot of people to thank, because this day wouldn’t have happened without you.

To every speaker, supplier, trainer and demonstrator who gave their time and shared their knowledge — thank you. Having so much experience in one place, with people happy to answer questions, demonstrate their equipment and help others, made our Cleanspec: On the Tools Open Day so special.

An extra-special thank you to Craig Carnan from iClean 24/7 and Paul Cranney from StoneCare Direct. Your support, enthusiasm and everything you put into the day meant so much to us. You both played a huge part in making it what it was, and we really do appreciate you.

The secret is out… and there were TWO! 👀💚

We’ve spent the past two weeks putting these products through their paces ourselves, and yesterday we finally revealed them at our On the Tools Open Day!

Two new products joining the line-up here at Cleanspec Cumbria!

🐑 TMF Wool Unchained
A rapid odour remover designed to tackle stubborn pet odours and strong ammonia smells on carpets, rugs and upholstery, including wool and synthetic fibres. Leaves a fresh Sweet Breeze fragrance.

💚 VacAway Intensity Green
A concentrated encapsulating pre-spray that tackles greasy soil and heavy traffic lanes. It breaks down oily dirt without leaving a sticky residue, with a fresh lemon scent.

It’s been hard keeping these quiet while we’ve been testing them! Lovely to finally share them with everyone yesterday.
