Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Blacksmith / Steel Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication process.
This role requires a motivated individual who values safety, quality and efficiency in their work environment. Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines effectively.
Experience and Skills Required
•Proven experience in blacksmith, steel fabrication and welding processes.
•Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment.
•Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes.
•Ability to perform basic maths calculations related to measurements and material quantities.
•Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimise processes.
•Full clean driving license essential.
•Experience of operating a fork lift desirable.
Responsibilities
•Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce accurate structural steel fabrications.
•Operate various fabrication equipment, including welders, power and hand tools.
•Perform welding tasks ensuring strong and durable joints.
•Fabricate and install steelwork, gates, railings and handrails to a high standard.
•Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
•Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications
