Last Thursday, we brought colleagues, friends and families together for our Big Summer Get Together, and what a fantastic evening it turned out to be. ☀️

From great food and drinks to inflatable games, bouncy castles, garden games and a few Hawaiian shirts dotted about, there was something for everyone and, thankfully, the weather played its part too!

Events like these are a great reminder of the importance of creating opportunities for people to step away from their day-to-day roles, connect with colleagues from across the business, and simply enjoy spending time together.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise, set up and support the event, and to everyone who attended and helped create such a brilliant atmosphere throughout the evening.

Special thanks to The Bearded Chefs for keeping everyone well fed, the Cocktail Cartt for the drinks, and to all those who volunteered their time before, during and after the event to make it such a success.

Seeing so many people come together is exactly what makes these events worthwhile, and we're already looking forward to the next one.

🎉 Congratulations, Ffion!
We're delighted to celebrate Ffion Scourfield, who recently attended the Pembrokeshire College Graduation Ceremony as an award winner.

Ffion was nominated for and received the prestigious Worshipful Livery Company of Wales Vocational Award, recognising her hard work, dedication and achievements throughout her engineering journey.

Reflecting on the award, Ffion highlighted the opportunities that engineering and Pembrokeshire College have provided throughout her journey. She also recognised the important role that her continued development and training with us at InSite has played in helping her reach this milestone.

🎓 From Apprentice to First-Class Honours Graduate – Congratulations, Dafydd!

We're proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement by Dafydd Cotton, who has graduated from the Prifysgol Cymru Y Drindod Dewi Sant / University of Wales Trinity Saint David with a First-Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Dafydd's journey with InSite began in September 2020, when he joined the business as a Mechanical Apprentice. After successfully completing his NVQ, he progressed into a Designer role in 2022 and continued his professional development with a Degree Apprenticeship.

Now, six years on from joining InSite, Dafydd has achieved a First-Class Honours degree and recently stepped into his new role as Senior Piping Design Engineer.

Dafydd's progression is a great example of how dedication, hard work and a commitment to continuous learning can create opportunities for career growth. We are delighted to have supported him throughout his journey and look forward to seeing what he achieves next.

And that’s a wrap on InSite Technical Services School Engagement Programme for this academic year! 🎉
⭐️ We have hosted 43 students on Taster Days, giving them the opportunity to learn about each discipline at InSite and explore whether a future career in engineering could be the right fit for them.
⭐️ We have attended careers fairs and presented to Year 11 students on the importance of choosing STEM subjects at A-Level for those interested in pursuing a career in engineering.
⭐️ We have delivered presentations to Year 12 and 13 students across six schools and colleges, showcasing the exciting early careers opportunities available at InSite.
⭐️ We held our first SPARC event focused on Project Management, hosting 20 Year 9 students with the aim of inspiring more young women to consider careers in STEM.
A huge thank you to Team InSite Technical Services for their passion, commitment and dedication to supporting the next generation of talent.

Today we welcomed 20 fantastic students from local schools; Ysgol Caer Elen and YG Ysgol Greenhill for a morning of hands-on Project Management.

From managing the ultimate fried breakfast (including some very passionate debates about whether an egg belongs 🍳😄) to building bridges out of LEGO, the girls showed great teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills throughout.

What better day to be doing this than on International Women in Engineering Day—celebrating and inspiring the next generation of women in engineering and beyond.
This session is part of the SPARC Alliance (Sustainable Power, Renewables and Construction)—a collaborative programme inspiring more young women into STEM, renewable energy, and construction careers. By building confidence, offering real-world experiences, and highlighting local opportunities, we’re helping shape the future workforce.

Last week, the InSite team was proud to be part of The World Refining Association's ERTC Ask the Experts in Gdansk 🇵🇱 — a fantastic few days of insight, collaboration and forward-thinking discussion.
Tom Johnston and Jason O’Malley spent the week connecting with industry peers and exploring how the sector is evolving, with Tom also joining and chairing a panel on Automation, Analytics, Digitalisation & AI.
A standout moment was the inclusion of an AI agent as a panel member — a great example of InSite’s innovative approach and how these technologies are already being applied in real-world settings.
The conversations throughout the week reinforced a clear message:
👉 Digital and AI tools are already delivering measurable value — supporting refinery operations, improving margins, and unlocking new opportunities, with even more still to come.
