▶️ Welders
Pay: £15.74 - £18.45 per hour
Job description:
Mainstay Marine Solutions are looking for experienced Welders to join their busy boat building and marine engineering yard to support exciting new projects. With a strong outlook, we are looking to expand our core team and are offering permanent roles.
Day to day duties:
· Using hand and machine tools
· Welding of metal fabricated items using MIG / TIG,
· Working aluminium and steel and stainless steel assemblies.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings
- Responsible for ensuring work is to a standard to ensure quality of end product.
Knowledge/Experience:
· Apprenticeship or similar training as a fabricator if welder proof of previous coding within last 3 years
- Experience in Aluminium Welding
· Experience of working with a wide range of instructions/drawings requiring some interpretation
· Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality standards and meet production deadline
· Ability to work well with minimal supervision
Pay Rate as highlighted will be dependent on experience and Qualifications.


▶️ Fabricators/Platers
Pay: £15.74 - £18.45 per hour

Mainstay are looking for experienced Fabricators to join their busy boat building and marine engineering yard to support exciting new projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Working on Steel/Aluminium fabrication and assemblies
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings
- Working with Steel/Aluminium, including marking out, assembly, shaping, bending and tack welding
- Working with Steel/Aluminium to measure, cut, shape, and weld steel components to create structural supports and frameworks
- Assemble Steel/Aluminium parts using various tools and machinery, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications
- Using workshop machinery
- Ensuring work is to a standard to ensure quality end product.
Skills/Requirements
- A Qualified and time served fabricator
- Thorough, methodical and pro active
- Able to work as a member of a team and under own initiative
- Able to demonstrate an ability to visualise ideas from verbal/written instructions
- Experience in a similar role
- Understanding of common production practices relating to metal fabrication
- The ability and desire to work to strict project deadlines is essential
