Big day today. The floor went down in the new workshop. 25m3 of fibre reinforced concrete now cooking away after being expertly leveled and floated by Graeme. 2 more pours next week for the outside areas and I can get the doors on and start populating it with tools. Exciting stuff.

Good progress this week. All the drains and an enormous soakaway now complete, electrics starting to go in. Floor is all leveled and compacted with whin dust and shuttering all fitted round the edge of the workshop ready for the concrete next Friday. Water supply all set up properly again and some windows in.
Also managed to get the primer on a job but the top coat seems to have been lost in transit so that sadly delays that install. Next week will be time to make the doors and hopefully the last of the flashings will arrive so we can finish off round the edges.
I am now ready for the weekend and been told I need at least 1 day off.

Nearly there. The workshop now has a face! Should get the rest of the fabrication area roof fitted on Monday before the rain comes I hope, then onto the flashings and then drains and the new concrete floor. This is really a life changing build and I can't wait to be in and creating more exciting work.

After a few days delay last week waiting for fixings we got started on the cladding. Its starting to look like a workshop with some roof and everything. 100mm insulated panels are slow to install but we are getting there. Much quicker now we have finished the bits with most of the window openings.

1 week in and the steelwork is almost done. Just the front door pillars on the fabrication side to fit on Monday and finish the side rails there. 5 tonnes of insulated cladding arrived on Friday but annoyingly there is a delay on all the fixings which is a real pain. Not to worry, we will finish grouting all the base plates and get the holes filled in while we wait.

Day 3. Purlins, side rails and wind braces on the forge section. All slotting in perfectly almost like someone totally anally measured out the foundations. The fabrication work from has been spot on too. Most chuffed.
