This was the first gate I made as a commission by myself over 30 years ago for my inlaws. My mother inlaws name was Rosie Wild so a wild rose was the theme. In January I designed a gate for some lovely folk who wanted thistles and roses so I incorporated the same design of this wild rose into the gate. Today I dropped the latest gate off at the galvanizers and tomorrow we have Rosies funeral. It has been lovely to work on this rose again and brought back plenty happy and crazy memories of my bonkers mother inlaw during the process. Weird how things work out.

Very glad I put in my contract up here that the main contractor would dig the holes for the gate posts. Two huge boulders of tge hardest stone known to man. Thank god they have diggers here. Last set of gates installed today so onto the next. I will miss this lovely place.

A very productive 10 days away up in Tongue, 8 entrance gates up including posts. It really finishes off the amazing place that it is. Stan and Mack have worked hard and we have had lots of laughs. Looking forward to the next trip.
