There’s something really rewarding about seeing a garden go from an idea to a finished space.

We loved seeing how Oakmore Green by Laura Anstiss brought this project together, and we’re genuinely grateful that our materials were chosen to be part of it. Thank you for sharing the finished result with us.

For us, one of the nicest parts of what we do is seeing how our materials become part of a garden once the design starts to take shape.

has brought together our Dune Pearl Antique Paving, Bullnosed Steps, Risers and Coping Stones with Layla Cream Pavers and Mint Sandstone Walling, creating a really considered mix of textures and tones. also supplied the outdoor living products, helping complete the space. It’s always appreciated when designers choose to work with our materials, and we’re genuinely grateful to have been part of this project.

It’s projects like this that remind us why we enjoy what we do. Seeing an idea develop into a finished garden, and knowing our materials have played a small part in that, means a lot to us.

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can clear your head.

I’ve always loved being outside and in the fresh air. No matter how busy life or business gets, being around nature has always been one of those things that helps me switch off for a minute, clear my head and gain a bit of clarity amongst the chaos.

When we first moved into this yard, it was a complete blank canvas. A pretty harsh commercial space with very little greenery and almost no wildlife. Over the years we’ve slowly changed that, planting trees, creating gardens and bringing as much nature into the space as we could. Now it’s full of life and wildlife.

There are days when my head is going a million miles an hour, juggling business, family and everything else life throws at you, and sometimes all it takes is walking outside for half an hour, getting some fresh air and space to think.

We haven’t just built a business here. We’ve taken something that once felt quite harsh and lifeless and, little by little, turned it into somewhere that feels alive.

Explaining the thinking behind our show garden concept and how we’ve tried to really utilise the space.

What started as just an idea nearly 10 years ago has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of. Seeing people come down, walk through the gardens and say so many positive things about what we’ve created is always a great feeling.

I strongly believe the concept helped set a new standard for how landscaping materials could be displayed within our industry and the wider builders’ merchant sector. Rather than simply showing products on racks or in bays, we wanted people to experience materials properly, installed within real environments and surrounded by planting, design and inspiration.

But we’re not finished.

Show Gardens 2.0 will be coming over the next few years.

You wouldn’t believe the amount of work we’ve put into this business over the last decade. There were periods of working seven days a week for months on end, completely living and breathing Corker, doing whatever it took to establish the brand and move the business forward.

The last 10 years have been about learning, growing, making mistakes, evolving and slowly gaining a much clearer understanding of who we are, where we belong and what this business has the potential to become.

And I genuinely believe we’re only just getting started.

The next decade is going to be special. With the incredible team around us, our brilliant and creative customers and everything we’ve learnt along the way, we’re going to evolve Corker into one of the most exciting platforms in the sector.

Mark my words, we’re going to build something very special.

It’s so important to host events like this because it’s equally important to have conversations like this.

Understanding how the wider market is really performing is critical for businesses like ours. Not just looking at reports and numbers, but having open and honest conversations with the people actually operating within the industry every day. Those conversations give us a much clearer understanding of what’s happening on the ground and what that means for the decisions we make today, tomorrow and over the coming months.

Staying close to our customers and continuing to support the people who support us has never been more important. We all operate within the same industry, we experience many of the same challenges and ultimately we all want to see it thrive.

The more we communicate, share knowledge, push each other forward and strengthen those relationships, the stronger we all become. It’s not just good for our individual businesses, it’s essential for the long-term success of the industry we’re all part of.

Moments like yesterday’s event with the AssociationOfProLandscapersAPL and Society of Garden + Landscape Designers remind me just how rewarding running a business in this industry can be.

It’s undoubtedly been a tough couple of years for many of us operating and growing businesses, but bringing so many passionate, great people together in one space, especially with weather like we had yesterday, gives you a bit of energy and reminds you why we do it.

When you’re constantly working on and in your business, it’s easy to find yourself in a bubble, hyper-focused on your own path, the challenges and where you’re trying to get to next. Yesterday was a reminder that we need to make more time for things like this. Proper human interaction, conversations, relationships and social connection, something I think we’re losing far too much of in the modern world.

A massive thank you to Oakmore Green by Laura Anstiss, Philip Tremayne and David Strow from the APL, Emma Jo Real-Davies for her amazing hosting as always, we genuinely couldn’t do these events without her, Philip Barnes, Ryan Cranmer | Outdoor Living from SUNS LIFESTYLE, Ben Sulston as always for the amazing food and of course everyone who took the time to visit and spend the afternoon with us.

We appreciate you all! What a brilliant afternoon. More of this! 🙏🏻
