Years after completion, the Emergency Sea Outfall remains an example of infrastructure that delivers more than its original brief. It continues to support environmental stewardship, resource efficiency and national resilience, demonstrating how can make a meaningful contribution to . 🌍
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
The project delivered a comprehensive wastewater collection, treatment and distribution network, including:
=Capacity to process up to 700,000 cubic metres of wastewater per day
=Approximately 450 kilometres of collection and transmission infrastructure
=An extensive treated effluent distribution network
=Improved resilience for Kuwait's national water management system
𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
The project created benefits extending well beyond engineering delivery:
✅ Reduced reliance on valuable freshwater resources

✅ Improved environmental protection of coastal and marine ecosystems

The TCS1200 has completed a 114m crossing in on the SIBS Project. 🛞
The drive encountered challenging with an interface of running sand and limestone rock.

Despite the difficult ground conditions, average production of 15m plus per day were maintained, with the TBM maintaining line and level withing the tight tolerances required on the SIBS Project.
