Home security doesn’t stop at the front door 🔐

If your side gate doesn’t shut, the latch is mostly decorative. Or if the fence is hanging on for dear life, it's probably time to sort it before winter

Our Windsor Bow Top Metal Gate is zinc plated and powder coated, fully adjustable, can be hung left or right, and - most importantly for National Home Security Month - it’s pad-lockable

Richard E. Grant’s face when he realised he was a Traitor…vs our face when we see someone using untreated timber outdoors.

…but at least our decking, sleepers and fence posts are ACQ-treated. We're faithful to the end 😇

October is National Home Security Month 🔐

Before you start pricing up cameras, alarms and a moat…have a look at the basics.

🚪 Does the side gate actually lock?
🔩 Is the bolt still secure?
🏠 Are your external door locks up to the job?

Sometimes the simplest jobs make a big difference

We stock gate hardware, locks, latches, fixings and plenty more to help get things properly secured before the darker nights arrive

Summer DIY season is officially over

Indoor DIY season has now officially started 👀

🚪 That door you’ve been meaning to replace
🔨 The panelling you saved on Instagram six months ago
📏 The skirting that’s been “fine for now” since 2022

It’s World Gratitude Day today

So, here's a few things we’re grateful for:

☕ A decent brew
📏 Finding the tape measure where you actually left it
🤝 Our customers, who’ve kept us busy since 1919
🪵 And a yard full of timber, obviously.

So, to everyone who keeps us busy, keeps us going and keeps coming back - thank you.
