Parts and Warranty Controller

Due to continued growth, Able Lorry Loaders is excited to offer a new opportunity for a Parts and Warranty Controller to join our expanding team in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established and respected business within the commercial vehicle and lifting equipment sector.

About Us

Able Lorry Loaders is a HIAB Authorised Service Centre (ASC) in the UK. Our highly skilled engineers specialise in diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and conducting compliance testing (including LOLER, TE, and TXG). We work with leading lorry loader brands such as HIAB, Multilift, Moffett, Effer, Jonsered, and Loglift, delivering high-quality service to our customers.

The Role

As a Parts and Warranty Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our parts and warranty processes. You will support both the service and warranty functions, helping to maintain high service standards and minimise downtime for customers.

Key Responsibilities

* Process parts orders accurately and efficiently, providing estimated times of arrival (ETAs) to the service team, particularly for crane VOR (Vehicle Off Road) situations
* Monitor and maintain stock levels, working closely with depot management to ensure critical parts are always available
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised parts storage area
* Manage warranty returns and liaise with engineers to ensure all required items are received
* Support the Warranty Manager in processing warranty claims

Requirements

* Previous experience in the motor trade or a similar environment is desirable, but not essential
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Salary & Benefits
* Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
* 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service
* Company pension scheme (available after 6 months’ probation)

* Monday to Friday working hours

Due to our expansion of our region and into North Lincolnshire, We became aware Blood Bikes are in fact a volunteer-led, non profit charity and not a subsidiary of the NHS.

We now proudly support Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes Service LEBBS by funding the purchase of a brand new Vogue DS900X. It was also an absolute pleasure to meet David with his new bike and a great face of the service.

*** Important Business Update & Region Expansion ***

We are very excited to announce the arrival of 3 new engineers who have joined us from Hiab North, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and experience. We are delighted to welcome Bob, Keith & George to the Able family.

Able Lorry Loaders now has 14 Hiab qualified engineers, including workshop staff and 10 on-site engineers who are able to cover the full range of products including Hiab, Multilift, Moffett, Effer, Jonsered and Loglift.

Amongst our highly qualified engineers are Bob – Lead UK Effer engineer, Sam - Lead Moffett engineer and John & Dan - lead Hiab engineers.

Able Lorry Loaders from today now covers the M62 corridor from coast to coast, which is a vast expansion of our previous area. The extension of our area is exciting for both us and our customers old & new. We look forward to supporting a lifetime of your cranes needs.
