Restoration of edge tools including rust removal, cleaning, reprofiling of edge bevel, sharpening, rehanging onto hand carved Ash handle and appropriate wedge(s), initial handle treatment (generally tung oil) and advice on how best to use and care for your tool. I am happy to source old and vintage tools to suit your requirements and undertake their restoration. Alternatively, I can take a look at

what you have and discuss how best to proceed. All jobs are unique and specialized to suit the clients needs and wishes. I am a users and collectors and understand the working life of a tool, and the relationship that can build up between the owner and their hardware. I aim to facilitate that pleasure by supplying you with high quality, hand crafted restorations intended for proper use and proper care. Why buy cheap, modern tools that will not hold an edge when you can have some classic vintage / quality steel that will last lifetimes? With proper care, they will out live you!
