🔧 Big jobs don’t phase us… teamwork gets them done! 💪

It’s been a very busy week for our engineers, and definitely a baptism of fire for our new man, Euan MacLean! 😂

We were called out to one of our customers’ vessels following a cylinder failure, and what started as a repair quickly turned into a pretty serious job.

With seized pins to contend with, we fabricated sliding hammers to suit the job and press plates to fit, finally managing to pull the seized pins.

Then it was on to the corroded and seized cylinder gland, which presented another challenge. After plenty of hard work, we managed to get everything stripped down, repaired, rebuilt and painted — with a few long shifts thrown in for good measure!

A great example of what can be achieved with the right skills, a bit of ingenuity and a team that works together. 💪🔧

☀️ THE BOSS IS TAKING A BREAK — BUT PMG IS STILL RUNNING AS USUAL! 🔧

Our PMG boss is taking a well-earned break and heading off for a week of sunshine with the family. 🌴

While he’s away, it’s business as usual at PMG. The team will be here as normal, looking after our customers and keeping everything running smoothly.

Signal will be limited during his time away, so if you need assistance, please contact our Service Manager, Kyle, who will be happy to help. Kyle's number will be available on our out of office reply and voicemail.

🍂 October is here… and it’s a big month for PMG!

This month marks the start of some exciting changes, including a new introduction to the PMG team. 👋🔧

And after months of planning and preparation, the wait is nearly over on our exciting new venture for PMG! 👀

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes as we continue to bring different parts of the business together and widen the services we can offer our customers.

It’s an exciting time for PMG as we continue to grow, develop and build on what we already do — bringing more services together under one roof and making things even easier for our customers.

We’re looking forward to sharing more with you throughout October and taking you along with us on this next chapter.

APPRENTICE ENGINEER

PMG Engineering Services are opening up a new position for an Apprentice Engineer.

A great opportunity to work towards a worldwide recognised trade to NVQ Level 3 standard.

We are looking for someone who:
🔧 Has mechanical experience and a good mechanical background
⚙️ Is keen to repair and learn to repair engines, tractors, machines or boats
🚗 Has held a driving licence for a minimum of 3 years
💪 Is enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to join our team

You will gain experience in marine engineering, plant, agricultural work, welding, hydraulics and more.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to learn and develop within our team.

We were delighted to receive this thank you from the Oban High School and Oban Lorne RFC Girls Youth Rugby Team following their recent trip to Toulouse.
