Reversing a camper van gets a lot easier when the camera gives you the right view and the right guidance 🚐📷⚙️

This **VW T6.1 Highline rear view camera** setup now has moving dynamic guidelines and a few extra parking modes added in as well.

One feature worth mentioning is towing mode. It’s very useful even if you don’t have a towbar, especially when you want a more controlled view while reversing into awkward spaces or lining the van up properly 🛠️🔧

VW T5.1 camper van in for an OEM cruise control stalk and wiring retrofit, now finished and ready to use. Cruise control retrofit is available for all VW T5.1 Transporters, but some need the BCM upgraded to the 087 version. Message us and ask about your T5.1.

A sliding door should shut properly without being slammed every time 🚐🔧

On this VW T6.1 we fitted a **soft-close sliding door mechanism** to pull the sliding door shut properly. It’s a great upgrade if you want the door to close in a much more controlled way, and this one is now super smooth and super quiet 🛠️⚙️

We also fitted our rear view camera at the same time, which was a great choice to get done before the conversion starts 📷

VW T6.1 primary user setup problems are becoming a very common headache when the system gets stuck 🚐⚠️💻

This one came in with the primary user settings stuck and, to make it worse, there was no official update available for it. With help from our smart friends, we managed to get it sorted for the customer and bring everything back to how it should be 🔧🛠️

✔️ Primary user setup issue resolved
✔️ No official update available on this one
✔️ Customer can now set up a primary user
✔️ Connect functions working again
✔️ Over-the-air updates now working properly

These faults can be frustrating because they stop the connected features from working as intended, so it’s good to see this T6.1 back to normal.

Long drives are a lot nicer when an older T5.1 camper has proper cruise control fitted 🚐🔧⚙️

This older-ish **VW T5.1 camper van** came in for an OEM cruise control stalk and wiring retrofit, and it’s now all done and ready to cruise.

Worth knowing if you’ve got a van like this: cruise control retrofit is available for all VW T5.1 Transporters. The catch is that some of them will need the super expensive BCM upgraded to the 087 version before the retrofit can be done properly 🛠️💡

Automatic sliding door faults on a VW Transporter can turn into an expensive repair very quickly 🚐⚠️🔧

We’ve just sorted one with a sliding automatic door problem by replacing the **pinch sensors** for the sliding door.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a cheap fix, but when these doors start playing up it’s worth getting the fault diagnosed properly rather than guessing and throwing parts at it 🛠️⚙️
