What looks like a simple cruise control retrofit on a **2016 Volkswagen up! GTI** is anything but 🔧🚗⚙️

This one really made us work for it. Retrofitting genuine OEM cruise control to this particular model is far from straightforward.

Getting access to the BCM for the wiring is challenging enough, but the ECU takes things even further. It is tucked away behind the wheel arch, secured in place, and definitely not designed for easy access.

So what sounds like a fairly simple upgrade quickly turns into a seriously labour-intensive job, with plenty of dismantling, wiring and coding involved 🛠️💻

But we got there.

✔️ Genuine OEM cruise control installed
✔️ Coded correctly
✔️ Working exactly as it should

We’ve just put another video out about a common VW Transporter T6.1 DSG fault: the “Only leave vehicle in position P” warning. In the video, we explain what usually causes it, why the fault code matters, and how we can now repair certain selectors instead of replacing the whole unit.

For the faults we support, that can mean around 50% saving compared with a new selector, with a 12-month warranty on the repair. Have a watch!

A bit of ambient lighting can completely change how a van feels inside 💡🚐🔴

We’re back with the same **VW Caddy** for another upgrade, and this time the customer went for red ambient lighting.

🔴 Red footwell lights
🔴 Red door card illumination

It is amazing how much difference a small change like this can make to the interior. The red ambient lighting completely changes the atmosphere and gives the Caddy a much more modern and premium feel.

This is one of those upgrades that proves the little details often make the biggest difference 🛠️⚡

When the heated seats are already fitted, the missing part is often the wiring to make them work properly 🔥🚐🔧

This **Volkswagen Transporter T6** came in ready for a bit of extra warmth this winter. The customer had already fitted heated seats and brought along his own climate control panel, so all that was needed was the wiring to get everything working.

We installed the wiring harness, connected everything up, and got the heated seats fully operational exactly as they would work from the factory, with the controls integrated into the climate control panel ⚙️🛠️

A nice, straightforward upgrade for us, and another Transporter ready for the colder months.

A good speaker upgrade does far more than just make it louder 🚐🔊🛠️

This **Volkswagen Transporter T6.1 Alpine custom speaker upgrade** is a perfect example of how much difference a well-chosen setup can make.

This one came in with beautifully finished Alcantara A-pillars and custom Alpine tweeter grilles already fitted. They look absolutely fantastic and give the interior a really premium, upmarket finish.

We then upgraded the sound system with:
✔️ An Alpine speaker kit
✔️ Soundproofing for the door cards
✔️ Soundproofing on both the inner and outer door panels
✔️ New speakers fitted as part of the upgrade

It is one of those jobs that is always worth doing. The difference in sound quality is huge, with clearer audio, better bass and a much more enjoyable listening experience.

Changing the lights on a **VW Caddy** is a simple job, but it can completely change how the van looks 💡🚐🛠️

On this one, we fitted a set of aftermarket headlights to the front, along with upgraded rear lights that have a really nice OEM LED-style appearance.

They are not actually LEDs, but they certainly look like them.

It is a fairly simple upgrade, but it makes a huge difference to the overall appearance of the van, giving it a much more modern and stylish look.

Definitely one of those upgrades that is worth doing, even if it is just for the looks.
