Xylem supported the newly opened Silvertown Tunnel with six surface water pumping stations equipped with 31 Flygt pumps, helping protect the tunnel from flooding and keeping London moving.

Our team designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the full pumping solution, including remote monitoring and water-quality controls. The systems can handle 2,290 m³/h, ensuring reliable, clog-free performance even in heavy rainfall.

Ian Ireland, Xylem UK, said: “We are hugely proud to have been part of this landmark project for London.”
