Community Spotlight. We’re incredibly proud of Daren Brown, Maintenance Team Leader at Reader Cement Products, who is once again raising money for charity by hosting his annual Christmas light show at his home in Nottinghamshire.

Daren is supporting the Nottingham-based charity When You Wish Upon a Star, which grants wishes to children living with life-threatening illnesses.

The light show runs every night from 4:30pm-9:00pm until 1st January. Featuring over 4,000 lights, synchronised to a variety of songs for both young and old, with even more additions than last year.

Reader employee Will Main and his wife Barbara once again took part in the 2024 Memory Walk to help raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

Will and Barbara raised £865 and with the Langley Holdings charity matching policy, a total of £1,730 was raised for this amazing charity.

Well done to Will and Barbara.

At Alzheimer’s Society they’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
