Trends come and go, but tiles have been used for thousands of years. There’s something pretty timeless about being able to take a material and make a space completely your own.

When two patterns collide. 👌🏻

It’s the details you don’t always notice that matter. 👌🏻

Where possible, every L-shaped cut we make in large-format porcelain gets a core-drilled corner. The radius helps relieve stress at the internal corner and reduces the risk of the tile cracking.

On this floor there are no skirting boards hiding the perimeter cuts — just a clean tile-to-plaster finish — so everything is on show. We dropped down to a 10mm core to keep the cuts tight while still creating that radius.

Ideally, I’d prefer a 20mm core where the detail allows, but tiling isn’t always about doing something one way. It’s about understanding why you’re doing it and adapting to the job in front of you.

Cleaned down and ready for epoxy grout. 👌🏻

After all the planning, setting out and careful installation, the grout is what finally brings the whole floor together.

Two days in and over halfway. 💪🏼

Great progress getting these 1200 × 1200s down. There’s always something satisfying about breaking the back of a big floor and seeing the space really start to take shape.

Large format, plenty of planning and a good couple of days on the tools. 👊🏻

Going big in Burton Joyce. 👊🏻

100m² of 1200 × 1200 Imola porcelain going down on this one. Big tiles, big space and plenty of careful setting out to get everything flowing as it should.

Thanks to for sourcing the tiles for the customer — and for hooking us up with a couple of Kong suction cups to help handle these beasts!

The right kit definitely makes a difference at this size. 💪🏻

Small-format mitres coming in hot. 🔥

These retro tiles from Claybrook UK are shaping up nicely, with mitred edges adding that extra level of detail.

The client sent us an inspiration photo and asked if we could achieve the same finish. That’s one of the parts of the job we enjoy most — taking an idea, understanding what the client wants and turning it into the finished detail.

Their vision, our job to execute it well. 👌🏻
