The system is designed to secure trailers against unintended driveaways, helping to protect personnel, vehicles and equipment during loading and unloading operations.

Each wheel lock is interlocked with the door and dock systems, creating an integrated solution that helps ensure the loading bay operates safely and efficiently.

Loading Bay Upgrade Successfully Completed!

Safety and efficiency go hand in hand, and that's exactly what this latest project has delivered.

The end clients existing van docking system had reached the end of its serviceable life. It was no longer operating correctly or safely, and the loading ramp was also in poor condition, creating unnecessary risks during loading operations.

Our team removed the old equipment and installed a brand-new van docking system, providing:

✅ A secure, flat platform for drivers to safely exit their vehicles.
✅ A new loading ramp that allows smooth and safe access from the warehouse directly into the rear of the van.
✅ Improved loading efficiency and safer manual handling.
✅ A reliable, modern docking solution built for everyday use.

Another successful project completed by the Evick team! 👏

The end client previously relied on trailers being loaded directly from ground-level access doors, which was limiting efficiency and slowing down their loading operation.

We were tasked with transforming the existing setup into a fully functional 6-bay loading dock system, and we're pleased to say the project was delivered on time and is already making a huge difference to the customer's daily operations.

The project included:
✅ Installation of a 6-bay modular dock system
✅ Hydraulic telescopic dock levellers on every bay
✅ Full door interlocking for safe operation
✅ New dock shelters to provide weather protection while loading and unloading
✅ A complete traffic light system to improve vehicle and loading safety
✅ Two floor-to-dock access ramps for efficient forklift truck access
✅ Two pallet gates for quick and safe pallet loading

The modular dock system has successfully converted the customer's existing low-level access doors into a modern, efficient loading facility without the need for major alterations to the building.

The system has now been fully commissioned, tested and handed over, and we're delighted to hear it is already working exceptionally well for the customer, improving loading efficiency, safety and productivity.

Another exciting project underway for a valued repeat customer

We’ve recently started the installation of a new 6-bay modular dock system designed to improve the safe and efficient offloading of trailers directly from the rear — all while working under fully covered, weather-sealed conditions.

This installation includes:
Dock levellers
Dock shelters with wheel guides
Mezzanine dock gates
2 access ramps
Dock traffic light systems
New door motors & control panels

All works are being completed on a live operational site, working closely alongside the customer team and fully in line with CDM regulations to ensure safety, coordination and minimal disruption throughout the project.

Great progress so far and we’re looking forward to sharing the finished installation soon.
