✅ Just completed! Another beautiful cast iron garden chair restored by Jas Welding Services.
This ornate cast iron rose chair had seen better days — typical of these classic pieces with cracks and breaks from years of weather exposure and brittle metal fatigue.
Cast iron welding is a real specialist job. Unlike mild steel, cast iron is extremely prone to cracking if not handled correctly.
Key steps we take:
Thorough pre-heating of the repair area (and surrounding metal) to the correct temperature
Using the right cast iron welding rods and controlled technique
Slow, even cooling to prevent new cracks forming
Careful grinding and finishing so the repair is strong and looks as good as possible
This chair is now solid again and ready for many more years of garden use (we recommended a good rust treatment and repaint too!).
If you have broken cast iron — gates, railings, garden furniture, machinery parts, or anything else — don’t throw it away. Bring it to us and we’ll give it a proper professional repair.

This rack has been specifically designed so a forklift can easily lift it via the two middle base sections, making it simple to move around your workshop or site. It’s also built with generous height clearance underneath, perfect for storing steel, pallets, or other materials beneath it while keeping everything organised and accessible.
Built from substantial box section and structural steel, this beast is engineered for serious strength and stability. We’re fabricating it with full pe*******on welds, precise alignment, and excellent load-bearing capability – ideal for industrial, workshop, or storage use where you need something that won’t flex, bend, or let you down.
Every piece is carefully measured, cut, fitted, and welded in-house to the highest standard. From the sturdy base frames to the tall uprights, this rack is built to handle heavy loads for years to come.

🚧 New Driveway Gate Underway!
Just finished fabricating this solid one-leaf beast! Built with a heavy-duty 40x40x3 SHS framework and perforated sheet infill — fully welded for maximum strength and security.
This gate is made to last for years and look sharp doing it. Next stop: powder coating! Once that’s done and it’s installed, we’ll drop the finished photos.

We’re thrilled to introduce our new trainee who has just joined the Jas Welding Services crew!
With solid previous experience already under his belt, he’s hitting the ground running and picking things up incredibly fast. It’s been brilliant having him in the workshop — you can see him here getting stuck into some fabrication work on our latest steel frame. 🔥
We’re getting busier and busier at JAS Welding, which is fantastic news! As the workload keeps growing, we’ll soon be looking for additional skilled staff to join our expanding team.
