Patterns and moulds manufactured in wood and resin. Based in Norfolk, UK many of our customers are local within East Anglia but we can supply nationwide. What is Pattern Making? As an example we would make a pattern from wood or resin, so a foundry can make a sand mould to pour molten metal into and this casts an object. We manufacture and modify a large amount of patterns for the decorative cast

iron market as well as engine part patterns. Patterns can be used for mass production or one-off components, and can be made from original castings.

This restoration was for damaged decorative posts from Ipswich town centre. All measurements and pressings were taken from the original posts that remained. The highly decorative top was caked in many layers of paint which had to be stripped, revealing it was originally made up from 4 castings, not 1 whole piece as originally thought. We repaired this top piece and set up the pattern work so it could now be cast as 1 piece. A complete set of split patterns and core boxes have been produced to create the top, middle and bottom decorative sections which will slot over a steel post.
