Double headed ZB loco's
Tonight's test run of double heading the tender ZB's was a success!!! Who knows you may see more double heading in the future.
P.way 2017
Not unheard of for a track possession, today (1st February) we had two trains working at different ends of the worksite fulfilling differing rolls.
No.6 test steaming today.
No.6, Blickling hall, passed its boiler test today.
Breakfast
Although our steam crews like frequently cooking their own breakfast on the shovel, you don't have to.......
At Aylsham station our "Whistlestop Café" is open daily and serves everything from drinks and light refreshments to full meals; Oh and they do light breakfasts to a Full English breakfast as well!!! (although not cooked on a shovel by the steam crew, they taste just as good).
We have recently been running the chassis of BVR6 "Blickling Hall" on air to check that the motion functions correctly before we progress to the next stage of the locomotives overhaul, enabling us to get the loco ready for the main period of our 2015 season.
We are currently manufacturing a part for our Loco BVR6 “Blickling Hall” after its previous component was mounted on BVR8 “John Of Gaunt” as an experiment. This proved to be very successful, but as a result, a new one now needs to be made for BVR6 during its 10 year over haul.
(Yes it is supposed to be rotating like that to get the specific taper/shape required)
Can you guess the component being made??
Answer to be posted later for those who are intrigued.
