Thanks to Turning Factor we are proud to say the Barter Hill team can communicate with confidence! Through various tasks split over two cohorts in two days our staff learnt the art of communication; including active listening; emotional intelligence; and self-assertion.

At Barter Hill we invest in the professional development of our team, because a commitment to professional development is a commitment to our business plan. Good communication not only improves employee and client relations, but is shown to reduce costs and create a better understanding of collaboration. As a company with two offices 101.9 miles apart, good communication is key.

Through team bonding not only do our staff have fun, they create a united and cohesive company culture. And what could be more effective than that?

A look back at our first All-Staff meeting at No.8 Thorpe Road- The Business Rooms uniting all of our employees across the Norwich and Harlow branches to talk about the directors insights, visions and exciting prospects for the company, as well as the launch of our new website!

To assist our staff in their we introduced ClickHSE Health and Safety and HR Compliance, which we plan to roll out next week.

Another farewell in appreciation of the lovely Josie- who brought more than just her sunny, bubbly personality to our Harlow Office!

Josie began with us 5 years ago as an assistant, and quickly became a permanent addition to the team. Her legacy at Barter Hill is our website barterhill.com developed with her hard work and creativity, which has paved the path for her new role in marketing and media.

Two months onwards from the retirement of one of our long-standing engineers, Barter Hill would like to again celebrate Tony's legacy with the company.

Tony initially met Barter Hill as a client of our Director – Kevin Barter, and eventually joined the Barter Hill team. Not just a brilliant engineer, but a fair, kind, colleague, Tony has left a monumental legacy. Although he is certainly missed, we wish him a long and happy retirement. 🎉
