The city of Norwich came alive this weekend 🏃

More than 8,000 runners took part in the Run Norwich 10K, supporting local charities, including the Community Sports Foundation.

Among the thousands of participants were some familiar faces from Team KLM UK Engineering, who achieved a fantastic provisional team average time of 42:27!

Our engineers recently stepped out of the hangars and into the classroom for some hands-on training.

They are the latest group to complete a Leadership and Management course with Jarrold Training at the International Aviation Academy Norwich, developing the skills and confidence needed for the next step in their careers.

Our 4th Annual Charity Football Match was bigger, louder, and more unforgettable than ever.

This year, we had the incredible opportunity to step onto the pitch at Carrow Road, the home of Norwich City FC, for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

With nearly 200 spectators in the stands and 58 players taking part, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish.

Most importantly, together we raised an amazing £3,320 for Community Sports Foundation, Norwich City FC's official charity. The Foundation uses the power of sport to promote inclusion for people with disabilities, support mental health and wellbeing, and help disadvantaged people raise their aspirations.

We teamed up with Business in the Community through their See It, Be It programme to inspire the next generation.

Our Aircraft Maintenance Apprentices visited West Earlham Junior School to introduce pupils to the exciting world of engineering through a fun, hands-on challenge.

Working in teams, the children designed, built, tested and evaluated their own mechanical dragons. The sessions were a roaring success, with pupils embracing the opportunity to learn through creativity and problem-solving.

It was a rewarding experience for our apprentices too, helping them develop their teamwork and leadership skills while encouraging young people to explore careers in engineering.

Supporting life-saving care in our community

We were delighted to support NARS - Norfolk Accident Rescue Service with a donation of £621 from our Charity Committee, helping to fund a new Zoll battery for their monitoring equipment.

NARS provides vital emergency medical care across Norfolk, and we're proud that our fundraising efforts can contribute to keeping their essential equipment operational and ready when it's needed most.
