🔔 Blackline Safety A-CART: What You Need to Know

Using a Blackline Safety G7c or G8 with a pumped LEL-IR cartridge?

There are some important changes you need to be aware of.

Blackline Safety has introduced the new A-CART pumped-only cartridge to meet updated regulatory requirements.

🔹 Pump runs continuously – unlike the legacy cartridge, the A-CART cannot be switched to diffusion mode.

🔹 Reduced battery runtime – continuous pump operation can result in approximately 30% less runtime, so charging routines may need to be reviewed.

🔹 Firmware updates matter – G7c devices require firmware 3.505, while G8 requires firmware 1.3 to support the A-CART.

🔹 Legacy cartridges are being phased out – existing users can continue using legacy cartridges until replacement is required, but once a new Cartridge F2 is installed on a compatible device, the device may no longer accept legacy cartridges.

🔹 The right cartridge depends on your application – A-CART is designed for pumped sampling, including applications where oxygen may be depleted or absent. For diffusion-only applications, Q-CART may be more appropriate.
