Why do suspension springs need replacing?
Springs take a lot of abuse. Every bump, corner and acceleration puts them through another cycle of compression and release, and over time that can take its toll.
Corrosion can weaken the metal, coils can break, and a tired spring can start to lose its original ride height and performance.
That matters because your springs play a big part in how your car handles. If they’re no longer working as they should, you can end up with changes in ride height, suspension travel and handling balance.
For performance and motorsport cars, that consistency is even more important. A suspension setup is only as good as the components working together.
If your springs are tired, replacing them can help restore the suspension to the way it was designed to work.
And if you’re changing springs, it’s worth checking the dampers, top mounts and spring seats at the same time. They all work together.
