We've been installing towers safely for decades using proven climbing methods. Our RAMS and rescue plan were submitted months in advance for a 24m galvanised tower project. We did the structural analysis, manufactured the steel, and planned the installation. Then, 72 hours before the job, the site rules changedβno climbing onsite. So we had to abandon our decades-old safe method and completely redesign the installation using a cherry picker instead. But here's what we're asking: when you've invested in the full processβstructural analysis, precision steel manufacturing, detailed RAMSβand a site demands you do the installation a completely different way, how do you handle that? We managed the new risks in real-time. But it's raised some important questions about safety, site requirements, and how we adapt. Sometimes the safest way isn't the one you've been trained for, or is it?
