It's been a busy few months for the Stonegate sales team, with plenty of miles covered, customers visited and exciting developments on the horizon!

This time, we're catching up with Garth, our Sales Manager, for a roundup of what the team's been up to and what's coming next. 👇

"From Scotland to Cornwall, County Cork to Norway, the team have been covering plenty of miles, bringing enthusiasm, energy and expertise to help our customers achieve stonework perfection.

MarmoMac was another fantastic success, with Jeremiah and the team meeting customers, demonstrating our machinery and showcasing some exciting new models. Plenty of positive conversations, encouraging green shoots and lots more to share in January 2027!

As we head into the final stretch of the year, our focus remains on supporting our valued customers through a busy period and delivering the service you deserve. And of course, we look forward to spreading a little cheer with a well-earned gift in December!

Dust management has always been a crucial part of running a stone fabrication workshop, but following updated HSE guidance for working with engineered stone, there is now even more focus on the controls fabricators should have in place to manage exposure to silica dust.

Cutting, grinding and polishing stone releases a very fine dust into the air. Depending on the material being fabricated, this can contain respirable crystalline silica. The particles are so small that they’re often invisible to the naked eye.

💡So, what is the best way to manage stone dust?

There isn’t a single solution. Effective dust management requires a layered approach that controls dust at the source, manages any dust that becomes airborne and protects your team from breathing it in.

This typically involves a combination of water suppression, on-tool extraction, suitable local exhaust ventilation (LEV), respiratory protective equipment (RPE), exposure monitoring, employee health surveillance, effective housekeeping and regular maintenance of control systems.

Friday is a good day to catch up with our reps who spend the majority of their time on the road, visiting customers.
